Description
For years, audiophiles worldwide have made repeated attempts in order to find the best tubes to meet all their music taste. However, each type of tubes were made to produce certain characteristics. One is advantageous in this field but weak in others. Even top listed Mullard like black plate version , Genalex B759, B749…which is famous for their smoothness, rich bass but slow and a bit dark. This is only suitable for vocal or slow music. On the other hand, Telefunken ECC802S, 803S are well-known for their clear, clean, detailed, quick and precise soundings but lack of smoothness and emotion. Other top end brands like Amperex, Siemens, Brimar, Valvo… are the same. If you have never tried Hivac CV491/ECC82, it’s a pity. These are the tubes which bring you the mixture of Mullard strengths and Telefunken upsides. Up to now, we have done many tests and made hundreds of comparisons between Hivac and other top-of-the-list brand names on a special equipment. We (by our experience and our ears) found that Hivac tubes are worth every penny. When you listen to these tubes, you may not listen to any others with the blank and feeling of something lacked. In terms of price and longevity, they are quite cheap and most of all, you have chance to enjoy the taste of music you are seeking for every day. They make you feel completely satisfied with your choice and worth with the amount you paid. Be quick to own one of them before they are on the edge of extinction. Good luck You are bidding for One tube Hivac CV491 12AU7 ECC82 45 Degree D getter Welded Plate, NOS Balanced tested excellent on my TV-7D/U at around 100/56 min good and over 10.5mA on AVO CT160 quite matched and sound wonderful in my hifi system. The tubes were made in England by High Vacuum Company in the late 1940s, with long shiny black plates and slanted square getter. The tubes were bulk packed and have no printing on the glass envelope thus confirming that they are new old stock. This is a rare and great sounding 12AU7 that doesn't come by often.
